I really like fish but rarely eat it because Dr. Darling can’t even stand to smell it cooking. (She makes faces when I so much as open a can of tuna.) As a biologist and something of a nutrition buff, she knows all about the benefits of eating fish (it’s brain food after all!) but still can’t bring herself to eat much of it.
Because of this, I will often order fish dishes whenever I’m out for a meal, which until recently was not a regular occurence. But now that I’m working full-time, I eat lunch away from home every week day. The cafeteria at my office generally offers four different daily dishes and being a Swedish company, fish is on the menu alot. I’ve had it twice this week. (Today it was cod with lime sauce…the cod was quite tasty, the lime sauce was nothing to write home (or blog) about.) But I think it’s safe to say that at this rate, I’ll be getting smarter everyday, while at the same time Dr. Darling‘s brain remains deprived of fish.
I figure by 2014 I might actually be as smart as she is.
