…but it’s probably as close as I’ll ever get to sharing a religious activity with Dr. Darling on a Sunday morning in Sweden. We’re watching a British documentary that looks at the actual history behind “The Da Vinci Code” and the Holy Grail. This is miraculous on several levels … not the least of which is that Dr. Darling is an atheist.
She’s also not especially interested in history (and for *that* reason alone we really have no business being together). But she is something of an amateur conspiracy theorist and that’s enough to hold her interest in this particular documentary.
But the BIGGEST miracle is that Dr. Darling is actually up before 10 a.m. In fact, she’s been up since 8:00, but only because Elsa the Big Black Lab is visiting
I got my wish that we make our visit to Halmstad yesterday a day-trip, but somehow we ended up with Elsa, who needs to go out at a reasonable hour of the morning. Dr. Darling is very attached to her brother’s dog and I’m sure the two of them will have a wonderful week together. But I can’t help but wonder how long it will be before *I* end up with the responsibility of walking Elsa in the mornings?
