As punishment for poking fun at Skåne’s wimpy attitude toward ice and snow in my Tuesday entry, Mother Nature saw fit to dump some “real” snow on me. There was at least five inches on the ground in Malmö by Wednesday morning and while there hasn’t been any additional accumulation since then, the wind is still blowing it around a bit.
This has wreaked havoc on the public transportation system and consequently I was nearly a half-hour late to work this morning FOR THE THIRD DAY IN A ROW. Even worse yet was last night’s trip home, which took an hour longer than usual because of delayed and/ or cancelled trains. Now I can understand why several inches of snow would slow the busses down, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why the trains are so screwed up. And there’s never a physicist around to ask when I need one!
