I’ve been thinking for some time now that I’ve been under-utilizing the "Categories" feature provided by my blog hosting service, but I just haven’t had the time to really do anything about it. It’s not creating the categories that’s a problem so much as it is diving into the archives and deciding which of the already existing entries should go where. Talk about a time-suck.
But now that Dr. Darling is up in Halmstad for a few days (helping her brother and his family move into a new home) and no-one is glaring at me when I curl up with the iBook, I’ve decided to beef up and refine the category list. The four existing categories remain (though in some cases "the names have been changed to protect the innocent"): Alt-Media-Commentary and Bulletin-Bored are unchanged but Journal as become Just the Journal and Main is now State & Main. The new categories are Culture-Clash, Domestic Bliss, "I am a Professional." and Road Trip!, all of which should be pretty self-explanatory.
You will find these categores in the left-hand sidebar in alphabetical order, for the most part. For some reason, putting quotation marks around "I am a Professional." bumped it to the top of the list and I can’t figure out how to get it moved to where it should be. Right now the new categories are a little "lite" on content, but that will change as I start plowing through the archives and reclassifying older entries. And as usual, feedback is always appreciated.
