Not only is the first woman to serve as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives doing what she said she would do (how refreshing for a politician of any stripe!), she’s also banned smoking in the legislators’ lobby directly off the House floor. And you know what? I don’t even care if the over-riding reason for doing it was to keep her couture from smelling like an ashtray. I mean, do you have any idea how expensive it is to have an Armani suit dry-cleaned?!*
And while we’re on the subject of "follow-through", look what happened on The Hill today: House votes to increase minimum wage
*Neither do I, but I bet it’s ALOT!
