I haven't really blogged much about California's Proposition 8, primarily because I think it's appalling…not to mention completely un-American...to put a civil rights issue up to a vote.
But today, in addition to electing a new president, Californians are being asked if their state consititution should be amended to rescind existing marriage rights for same-sex couples. In my mind, the answer to that question is really easy, regardless of how you feel about "the gays."
But to make it even simpler, I am requesting that all of my friends in "the land of fruit and nuts" ask themselves this one thing before they enter the voting booth:
Do I want people voting on my marriage?
Then mark your ballot accordingly.
