Still too stunned to talk about it…

If there was one dark cloud hovering over Election Day 2008, it was the passage Proposition 8 in California.

And yes, I acknowledge that other states have indeed enshrined discrimination into their constitutions, too. But California is the only one that voted to eliminate a right that its own state supreme court had already upheld, throwing the legal status of thousands of newly married same-sex couples into uncertainty.

 I can't find the words to express my profound disappointment over the inhumanity displayed by this decision, so I'll let MSNBC's Keith Olbermann do it for me.
