Sweden to allow gay marriage in May

It appears that there is now enough of a majority in the Swedish parliament to make gender-neutral marriage the law of the land later this year.  Same-sex couples have had access to civil unions with the same legal status as married couples since 1995, and evidently it only took the Swedish government 14 years to get tired of dealing with two different sets of paperwork for accomplishing the same thing.

I predict a lot more June weddings than usual this year!
